The Meatery, Edgeware Road

Located on Edgware Road in central London, The Meatery is a contemporary smokehouse restaurant spanning two floors. We designed an interior that combines bold architectural features, luxurious materials and bespoke craftsmanship to create a distinctive and welcoming dining destination.

Every element of the space was carefully considered to reflect the restaurant’s unique identity, creating an immersive atmosphere that enhances the guest experience while balancing contemporary sophistication with the warmth and character of a premium smokehouse.

A defining feature of the interior is the collection of bespoke architectural details designed exclusively for the project. Intricate metal wall features were designed in-house and laser-cut to incorporate the restaurant’s branding, creating striking focal points throughout the space. These are complemented by custom-designed timber wall panels, CNC-machined to achieve intricate patterns, depth and precision.

To introduce further personality and artistic expression, we designed a series of large-scale murals and commissioned a talented artist to bring our concepts to life. These hand-painted artworks add warmth, colour and individuality, transforming the walls into distinctive statement features that contribute to the restaurant’s overall identity.

A carefully curated combination of rich materials, ambient lighting, luxurious upholstery and bespoke furnishings completes the design, delivering a cohesive interior that blends contemporary elegance with authentic smokehouse character.

Our involvement encompassed the complete interior design concept, space planning and layout, bespoke metal and timber feature design, mural design and coordination, custom joinery detailing, furniture and FF&E specification, material and finish selection, decorative lighting design, and coordination with contractors, suppliers and specialist fabricators.
